Butter Skull: Electro continues the series’ exploration of beauty and decay – merging the delicate symmetry of a butterfly with the darker form of a human skull hidden within its wings.
Its cooler, electric palette moves from vivid cyan through intense blue and violet to flashes of red, framed by heavy black markings that bring the skull sharply into focus.
Under UV light, the colours become more intense and luminous, shifting the character of the piece as the blues, violets and pink-red highlights come alive against the darkness.
Hand-cut and spray-painted using conventional and UV-reactive Montana paints on a 60 × 60 cm deep-edge canvas.
